Goliad State Park
The Angel of Goliad trail leads from downtown Goliad to the park.

The old missions along the trail are steeped in Texas history.

Fannin Monument
Remains of Co. James Walker Fannin and 400 of his troops massacred following the Battle of Coleto, March 27, 1836, were buried here 3-weeks after the fall of the Alamo by Gen. Thomas Rusk and the Texan Army. About 25 wounded men were saved by a Mexican woman who became known as "The Angel of Goliad."
